I have made mistake on Market skimming when answered that they give low price at the first. Hixhix. Leave back Sale mix variance on Q4. Hope that pass……..

I did well on the balance scorecard; sales mix and quantity variance; budgeting. What I did poorly is the 1st question on decision tree and expected value!,

I made mistake on sales quantity and mix variance ahhhh..

    this came out:
    1) decision tree – had components of finding the value of imperfect information
    2) balanced scorecard – for each perspective state 2 goals or objective along with 1 performance measure for each goals (16 marks)
    3) costing was to find the lifetime cost per unit where it had components of target costing, learning curve + LCC
part (b) was to discuss market skimming and whether it was appropriate to apply to the qustion’s case
4)operational and planning varriances, sales mix and sales quantity had components of absorption costing and briefly comment of the sales manager performance
    5) recalculate the budget surplus or deficit based on notes
(b)advantages and disadvantages of incremental budgeting
(c)steps involved with zero based budgeting
(d)how to apply zbb to the qeustion’s case

I thought that the volume of written seemed very high. There are many past papers that I quite enjoyed doing during my revision but I didn’t really like this exam. I think (hope!) I’ve done just about enough to pass.

that q3 for the capital expenditure..of 65000 u dun use it again right..coz it was a one off expense in renovating the gym..so u use only the ev and dont forget to add +3% inflation

    for the repairs and maintenance..$40 is divided in to 20% * 40= $8 * 90%= $ 7.2
    80% *40= $32 * 45%= $14.4

this is what i can recall doing

i was the most confident at mix variances, and I AM still very confident and still i can’t believe that i failed sales mix variances but and i was so scared already i was too affected as now isn’t my first sitting to this exam f5. i don’t know…. anyway, this lady Iron is starting to be on reasonable way with computing subjects. now i want to forget everything and to “sit” to wait until august! just about this to forget, as tomorrow is my second exam for this session.

    good luck everyone,
