Can we please be respectful to each other please. You are training to be professional accountants so please start here.

Ann Irons has done a great job with the F5 syllabus. I sat her first exam after she took over from Geoff Cordwell, and thanks to her i got my highest mark in the ACCA 70% (i sat June 2010), For preparations and to refresh my mind for my P5 Advanced Performance Management exam i have sat parts of this June 2012 exam and there is nothing really in there that i have not come across when i was studying it. It requires a lot of “thinking out of the box”. The seasonal analysis question was tough i admit, but forecasting and projections is a massive part of business and this in many ways is one the key area’s of management accounting. If you think this is hard wait until you start doing the P papers. Especially P2 Corporate Reporting which i have just sat. Then you will be looking back on this exam and think “ah, the good old days”. I know i have!

Anyway, what is done is done. Forget about it now, it is not the end of the world if you fail. You can sit it again in December and you will be all the more wiser of what to expect. She may have tricked you once but im sure she wont trick you twice! You will know seasonal analysis ROI and RI etc etc like the back of your hand and you will be all the more better rounded accountants for this fail! (if you do!) but i bet for some of you you will be surprised by the marks you get. Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Thanks for ur encouraging comment. That’s we expect from seniors, tutors…

True, any examiner will never get any chance to freak me out in future.

    Hi,
Does anybody know: if I were pregnant in the last exam – can it somehow be taken into consideration?

    Thank you,

@vioricagorceag no, it is not taken into consideration,

you have 10 years to complete your ACCA exams, if you were pregnant or not well, you can sit exam again at the next sitting

i do agree with all comments posted by students … variations and target costing question were very nonsense …. to examine targetcost in theory is totally bullshit.
