their profit was 180000, but yet they didn’t have sales manager, so when they would employ the manager, 40000 salary would be additional cost. it is commited cost yes, but it is additional cost, when they are deciding whether to employ him/her
December 1, 2014 at 7:45 pm #215415What?? And why, in your opinion, they gave a cost of 40.000? Just for fun?
December 1, 2014 at 7:47 pm #215417Bro, was it 40000? Cause then this gives you minus 1300. Btw, are we the only ones with you to get the senior management right (which described strategic planning and so was not correct) and feedforward control? Also, did you have 18k something units?
December 1, 2014 at 7:49 pm #215418D and A seem right cause they had the highest contribution per limiting factor, which was labor hours

Wasn’t A 7,6 and D 30?
December 1, 2014 at 7:56 pm #215426No mate, check the bpp book, strategic planning does not control the utilization of resources. Its the objective of management control. But, remember, in the wuestion they wrongly stated that utilization effective and efficient was controllable by strategic planning, which is wrong
December 1, 2014 at 7:58 pm #215428Yes, as far as i remember. First was economy, if i am not mistaken, then effeciency, then effectivness

I can’t quite remember, only did it quickly then moved on.December 1, 2014 at 7:59 pm #215430Yeah I agree but didn’t the question say ‘current ( or existing cant remember) resources’? That’s why I decides its not strategic. Strategic looks at the future I thought :/
December 1, 2014 at 7:59 pm #215431Also, both tpars were smaller than 1
December 1, 2014 at 8:00 pm #215432yeah that was a loss.. do not recruit employee..
December 1, 2014 at 8:01 pm #215434I also get the loss of 1300 🙂
December 1, 2014 at 8:03 pm #215436You got it right bro 🙂 also, just check the book, effective and efficient use of resources is of control of management level. Didnt they attribute this to strategic planning in the wuestion, or did they write management planning? Refresh my memory please
December 1, 2014 at 8:04 pm #215437Mate, did not they put the words effective and efficient in front of utilization in the wuestion?
December 1, 2014 at 8:05 pm #215439Yeah u r nearly rite.. with all mcqs answr,, I have a new learning C of 73%.. I dnt knw how..:)/.. TPAR was a difficult one.. Jst forget everything abt TPAR..
December 1, 2014 at 8:05 pm #215441For question 3, i got relevant cost of 9455 plus 0.10 of it as general apportionment
December 1, 2014 at 8:07 pm #215443Yeah .. i was also confused with this qtn.. Some fellows was saying answer is A,, I got C .,, .. Leave it,,:p
December 1, 2014 at 8:07 pm #215444Guys, management control looks at effective and efficient utilization of resources. Operational control looks at whether specific requirements are fulfilled. But in the wuestion they gave strategic pkanning, so, wrong answer
December 1, 2014 at 8:08 pm #215445That was 70% :))

I got 10,369 plus them a further 10% – included 750 for overheads 1.5 x 500 hours
December 1, 2014 at 8:10 pm #215448I got a total of 10401 😀 including 10 percent. Safiyyah got the same, if i am not mistaken
December 1, 2014 at 8:11 pm #215450But mate, that some part of overhead is irrelevant in the calculation. Only overtime pay of supervisor or what was that last guy
