I done them wrong I think.
Both my answer were above 1
I should get marks for the Mathon I think at least 2 out 6
December 2, 2014 at 7:31 pm #216395The question just baffled me up. First part was literally define bottle neck and 2nd part I was like wow haha. Never heard of this before so I ignored the question and instead calculated normal tpar
December 2, 2014 at 7:32 pm #216396Btw we were suppose to use only the seniors hours and factor cost right?
December 2, 2014 at 7:32 pm #216397I got so confused with this. I can’t even remember what I started doing
December 2, 2014 at 7:33 pm #216399Yeah, points will be given for right approach. I did not multiply 2400 by 3 though
December 2, 2014 at 7:34 pm #216400Yeap
December 2, 2014 at 7:35 pm #216402My main concern is question 4 svorecard. Part 1 was acceptable, but i did not put enough effort for part 2 due to lack of time
December 2, 2014 at 7:36 pm #216403Yea I realised yesterday there was 3 seniors haha.
I think I got too carried away with the balance scored card question.
December 2, 2014 at 7:37 pm #216405But I don’t think u have to divided the time of seniors instead multiply them you know! Coz 1 senior was there for 2700 hour than times 2 more
December 2, 2014 at 7:39 pm #216407Balance score card question was good.
Financial
Internal
Innovation learning
Customersand literally describe them
Maximising shareholder wealth
Process of the coming/ staff
How well prepared for future, new products
And reputation of company amongst customersBoom 6 marks
December 2, 2014 at 7:42 pm #2164112nd part was literally just give a goal, how can yiu measure it and why did u choose it.
3 separate columns
I done 2 goals each just in case!!
Haha
December 2, 2014 at 7:43 pm #216412Wrote almost the same 😀 regarding tpars, will they give us points if at least our formulas were right? Considering the fact we did not mulptiply 2400 by 3
December 2, 2014 at 7:44 pm #216414I messed second part of question 4, still think they ll give me some points

Hi,
While studying the topic it looked extremely easy…in the exam I was dumb struck 🙂
I tackled it by applying to the quantities each equation and realized that the one at answer b was returning the cost stated in the question only for the lowest and the highest quantity..so..tadaaa..the answer:)December 2, 2014 at 7:49 pm #216421We should get at least 2 in my opinion for the method
Coz I remember my tutor told me wrote anything. Just don’t leave it blank.
U still get marks for it.
December 2, 2014 at 7:49 pm #216422Lool
December 2, 2014 at 7:50 pm #216424Haha.
December 2, 2014 at 7:51 pm #216425I guess that Q2 was just bad
And Q1 part b Eww I just wrote quicker didn’t do no calculation haha.
That’s wrongDecember 2, 2014 at 7:55 pm #216427Agree on question 2, but, as you say, we will get something. 2 marks for part b and some marks for part a of that question. Question 1 i did great 😀
December 2, 2014 at 7:56 pm #216429Sam, did you get exactly 9455 on wuestion 3 and then added ten percent or what?
December 2, 2014 at 7:58 pm #216431I did add 10 parts of the apportion overhead.
But I don’t think we were suppose to coz that would have been there regardless as it’s fixed cost. And only fixed costs which change get added on.
I mean worse comes to worse probably lose 1 or maybe 2 marks
December 2, 2014 at 7:59 pm #216434The trick was that the supervisors salary which was fixed. So that would have been zero
And plus the 20 hours which he spend at the price of 12 I think we’re incremental
December 2, 2014 at 8:00 pm #216436The biggest trick was the semi skilled labour I think the cheapest price was the firm providing 14 as they had to work overtime and there was no spare capacity
December 2, 2014 at 8:01 pm #216437And if the business were to pay they would have had to pay 16
December 2, 2014 at 8:04 pm #216439Yeah, it was cheaper to buy labor from outside. Also, they told that out of 500 ms of wood, only 480 are used regularly, which means 20 we just use for our order, its relevant cost is zero ( like spare capacity) and you buy 30 ms in addition. Thats how i hot 9455
