    Hi there,
    Can anyone help me please.
I am looking at profits table type questions in past exams and im stuck on this one.
Where do they get the sales figures from in the answer to questions 2b in December 2008 paper.
    Thank you
    Steve

In the third paragraph of that question, they state “the sale price per crate is $10…”

    Does that answer your question?

Thank you but no that doesn’t help. I have seen that but on the answer it gives sales figures for the small van (1000 and 1000), medium van (1200 and 1500) and large van (1200 and 1900). I understand that the first figures of each are for the 120 demand and the latter figure is for the 190 demand. I still don’t understand how these sales figures are calculated. I hope im not missing something very obvious 🙂

let me try to help you..
If company will buy small van(100 crate) they will be unable to meet demand either 120 or 190 so at this point sale can not exceed $1000(100*10)
But if they buy medium van (150 crates) lower demand can be full filled but higher cannot be so sales will be 1200 and 1500
and large van can full fill both demand
    hope it will help
