    Hi

I’m wondering what’s the best manner to go through the skills papers. I’ve successfully completed with very good marks f1-f4 over the last six months. I’ve heard horrendous tales of woe and pain about this paper which is quite off putting, but, should it be put off until the end?

I work in the public sector so both taxation and auditing (F6/F8) are naturally more intuitive papers to start with as I understand the issues more easily from the day job. I find, F5, although, I liked F2 also, an interesting syllabus, but it has little relevance to performance related matters in the public sector. How can you improve financial performance in organisations that are not predicated by the need to make a profit in the first place? Yes they are often inefficient, but PM in the PS is a very different animal to the private sector. Anyway, F5….is it best to do last, due to its toughness?

Best is to do as the ACCA advise, which is to take the exams in number order.

No students will have work experience relating to all of the papers and work experience is not needed.

Everything needed to be able to pass F5 is covered in our free lectures, and it is no harder or easier than the other F level papers.

If you have problems with any of the topics while studying then ask in this forum and I will try and help.
