Hi
I’ve just passed my F4 exam. Wondering what to do next, F5 is next in line. Just wondering if I study F5 now, when is the syllabus due to change? How hard is this compared to F4, how long will it take to cover the full unit?
Thanks,
HanzlahApril 6, 2017 at 10:42 pm #380504If I start F5 now, will it be ok for the September exam? Syllabus wise etc.
April 7, 2017 at 8:42 am #380519There are no syllabus changes for September, so you can start studying now 🙂
It is impossible to compare F5 with F4 (50% of F5 is calculations, and also the format of the paper is completely different). Whether you find it harder or easier (and how long it will take you) is impossible for me to say – everyone is different!
April 7, 2017 at 8:58 pm #380578Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
What’s best way to study it? For F4 I used lectures, study notes (both from OT) and BPP revision kit.
Thanks,
HanzlahApril 24, 2017 at 8:34 am #383310Mr Moffat – I’ve started studying for F5. Brilliant lectures. Will be sitting the exam in Sep 17. Shall I get a revision kit now or wait till I complete the lectures?
April 25, 2017 at 6:27 pm #383765Hi John,
I’m sitting in June for F5 and in need of the F5 Revision Kit but locally they’re only selling the ones from September 2017, is that still useful for me or must I buy from abroad the kit for June 2017? Apologies if you’re repeating yourself but just as a confirmation.April 26, 2017 at 6:46 am #383877hanzlahnisar: Watching the lectures and practicing questions from a Revision Kit is enough. Ask in the Ask the Tutor forum if you come across anything in the lectures or the Revision Kit questions that you are not clear about, and I will help you.
Razan: The September Revision Kit is fine because there is no change to the syllabus or the format of the exam from June to September.
