November 7, 2014 at 7:40 am #208194Hi Maria
No, I’m sorry, there are no lectures with subtitles.
I shall be happy to answer any questions that you may have when you read the course notes, study text and revision kit.
I shall explain any mcq answers that you don’t understand if you’ll post the question on this page
I shall help in whatever way I can, but I’m sorry, there are no lectures with subtitles
December 2, 2014 at 9:10 am #215774Dear Mike Little,
I was wondering if you could help me with some informed and experienced suggestions. Here is my predicament:
I had started attending lectures at a tuition provider as well as listen to some of your lectures and also almost finished the syllabus but i stopped listening to the lectures and reading f4 because i was studying only f4 and preparation for f5 was suffering.
Now that f5 is over and with just one week to the f4 exam, going back and looking through what i had studied in the past is looking strange. do you think i can still listen to all your lectures and practice as well with less than one week to the exam? considering the fact that i had studied before and have an idea of the topics in the syllabus.
I really want to be confident going into the exam and doing really well because i like F4 and it is interesting. Please help, what would you suggest?
Many thanks
December 2, 2014 at 11:01 am #215919I presume that you’re doing paper based F4.
Yes, there’s still time (apart from anything else, you’ve already paid for the exam and – as we say in the UK – you can’t win it if you’re not in it)
Have you got a revision kit / exam kit / book of multiple choice questions? And there are another 200+ mcqs on this site as well.
Then get stuck in!
Don’t bother now with a study text. Just do the mcqs, over and over again. As many times as you can.
DON’T WRITE YOUR GUESSES IN THE BOOK as to do so will spoil your chances of doing them again and again
If you come across a section / topic that you are repeatedly getting wrong, go to the study text or the course notes and read up about it.
I have come across a number of errors in the exam kit of one of the approved providers so where you find that your answer is incorrect, check it out from the study text (or google it)
You should be able to get through at least 300 questions in a day! The mcqs are worth 70% of the exam @ 1.2 minutes per mark. 70 marks = 84 minutes
If you work for just 7 hours per day (work an hour, take 20 minutes off, work an hour, take 20 minutes off, work …..) that’s a 9 hour day inclusive of your 6 x 20 minute breaks. Start at 09.00 and finish around 18.00 (just a sandwich for lunch!)
You have 5 days = 1,500 questions
Of course you can do it
Have you started yet?
December 2, 2014 at 2:15 pm #216023Hello Mike,
Thanks for taking out time to explain and help with a breakdown for me.
Yes, I do have Bpp revision and exam kit that contains multiple choice questions as well. But how can I access the 200+ mcqs on the website?
Lol @ ‘google it’ and ‘just a sandwich for lunch’ (if I can survive on just a sandwich for 5days… lool…). it seems feasible. I will start right away.
I feel more comfortable and motivated now.
Please where can I access the mcq on the website?
Many thanks Mr Mike.
December 2, 2014 at 2:17 pm #216025Please what about the lecture videos and course notes. Do you suggest I go through those as well? Or I shouldn’t bother? Just practice like you said?
December 2, 2014 at 3:00 pm #216051On this site go to “home, ACCA, F4” and click
Down towards the bottom of that page there are two options – Take F4 Glo Test and ACCA F4 ENG Test
Take your pick!
