Is the transition from F4 to P1 recommended? Are there any carry on knowledge from F4 that would make it a good idea to go into P1 immediately?

You have to complete F1-9 before sitting any of the professional papers.

The reply following your query is correct.In addition I would give the opinion that there is probably more commonality and advancement on some aspects of F8 than there is on F4.
