Hi i just wanted to ask a question regarding revision because im confused,i have been doing F4 past papers but when i look at a past exam question i look at the notes(study text) and then write down the answer to the question;that is after looking at the notes i just copy the same thing onto a piece of paper..i wanted to know is this a good way to revise considering the exam is in a few weeks.and if it is not a good way what should i be doing?and is it advisable to read the notes now or should it just be doing past papers only?i hope to hear from you soon kind regards

Yes, there’s nothing wrong with your technique. Basically, any technique that suits the individual is fine. I don’t think I could do it your way but there’s no reason why it shouldn’t work for you.

I thought it was a bad technique because during the exam you will not have your study notes, you must remember it from your head

But that’s the same with all the ACCA exams. If you think it’s a bad technique, why are you pursuing it?

Personally, with such limited time left available, I would be inclined to get stuck into the revision kit of past exam questions and answers. But that’s only what I would do. Different people have their own different favourite ways of learning and revising …. but they all require you to answer the questions in the real exam from memory!

The real question you should be asking yourself is “Why have I left it so late?”
