Hi Sir, I am Lokesh, I got 83.63 % in F3 (Financial accounting) and all credits go to Open tuition. Now I am starting to prepare for f4 exam(Global Varient). And I don’t have a clue how much time is enough to pass f4 so I can plan everything accordingly. I am a full-time student.
Please tell me how many days is enough for Preparing f4 generally, I have come this far with kaplan and open tuition. Should I stick to Kaplan for this exam too?
Eagerly waiting for your reply!
Thank youFebruary 3, 2021 at 10:37 am #608946Hi Lokesh,
Firstly congratulations on doing so well on F3, you must have worked really hard.
The key thing with F4 is the volume of information to learn. So time and structure is fundamental. I do not like to be prescriptive about the time you spend, because every student is different. However, as a very rough “general” rule of thumb I would say that you need to listen to all the recorded lectures and on top of this consolidate the recorded lectures with reading through the notes and making extra notes from useful examples used in the video. This could take you 7 or 8 days to do just the basics. Indeed if I were to teach this course I would spend 8/9 days teaching the material.
You then need to spend sometime to consolidate and revise and do lots and lots of question practice. Once again I cant be too prescriptive but would advise a good 2 weeks of revision and question practice. So all in all I would say if you are studying every day a good 3/4 weeks should put you in a good position to pass. Obviously the more time you spend the better.
I cant say whether you should stay with Kaplan as I don’t know how the course is taught there and also to remain impartial. Ultimately it is your choice with whom you decide to study. There are a number of different options of course.
I hope that helps.
Kind regards,
Vijay
