Hi Mr Mike
Apologies in advance if I am asking questions that you might have already answered previously, but still have some doubts.
I usually study with OT lecture and Notes, that were extremely important for my success in the previous exams (for couple of them I didn’t even used the text book).
From what I could see (however I can be wrong) the material (lectures and notes) for F4 is mostly for English variant.
My concerns is most about the lectures, that I believe there are extremely important for the preparation of the exam, but for Global variant I could find only from Chapter 5 onward. My questions are:
Should I study a textbook in order to be able to pass the exam? Or are the notes and lectures available enough to cover the whole syllabus for the exam.
Do the lectures from Chapter 5 cover the syllabus of Global variant as well?
I also know that it is crucial to have the most up to date exam kit and do as many questions as possible, no doubt.
I would appreciate your advice and thanks again for all help and material provided, it is extremely useful to prepare for the exam, but above all, a great opportunity for learning.
Thanks in advance
Gabbi
January 27, 2015 at 8:55 pm #224011The recorded lectures are fine from partnership onwards but there’s not much there that will help with global. However, extensive practice with international trade and dispute resolution questions should be enough, but there’s a heavy emphasis on EXTENSIVE practice. If you can do 100 marks’ worth of questions under exam conditions and regularly score 70%, you should be fine
Ok?
January 27, 2015 at 9:20 pm #224015Hi Mr Mike,
Thanks for your prompt response.
However I am still confused.
What do you mean when you say: “he recorded lectures are fine from partnership onwards but there’s not much there that will help with global”.
Probably it is not clear in my mind the difference between two variant so I am still wondering if I should support my studying with the text book.I probably be listening the lectures as well, just wanted to make sure that I can cover all syllabus to be able to practice the questions.
Thanks
Gabbi
January 28, 2015 at 1:04 pm #224154All recorded lectures from partnership onwards are relevant to global and english. The ones before partnership are relevant only to English
The essential differences are a greater concentration on contract law in the English variant and a greater emphasis on international trade and dispute resolution in the global syllabus
Is that better?
January 28, 2015 at 1:33 pm #224166Yes, now I got it and more clear for me.
Thanks again for your time and helpRegards
