Hello Sir
I have noted questions regarding structure of legal system, courts…in the BPP revision kit for F4 GLO. This seems to me more related to f4 ENG. Can i expect these kind of questions on F4 GLO exam?
Thank you in advance
The syllabus for the LW Global exam starts with the heading “Essential elements of legal systems” whereas the syllabus for the LW English exam starts with “Essential elements of the legal system”
The Global expression is wide enough to include the elements of the English system (but that doesn’t apply the other way round)
Given the potential for innumerable differing systems, it’s not surprising that the ACCA has drawn widely on the English system to illustrate these “essential elements” so, in specific answer to your question, yes, you can expect these kinds of questions on F4 Global (LW Global) exam
Furthermore, the BPP study text on page 38 states that”We shall continue our studies using the example of the English court system” having already stated that “Most countries will have different courts … the number of judges … the existence of a jury … will differ …” so there has to be (for the purposes of making sense to a world-wide readership) some focal point and BPP have selected the English court system as that focal point
Additionally, BPP (and Kaplan) are approved publishers so it would be ‘wrong’ of the ACCA to ask questions on, for example, the Nepalese Court system where that system is not considered within the texts of the approved publishers!
OK?
