Good night
I am a tad confused about the second section of the F4 exam. I am looking through the BPP revision kit & their sect 2 questions involve writing pretty long answers… but isn’t this exam a CBE? I don’t understand… I thought the MTQs were supposed to be like choosing from stating yes or no, etc.
Thanks very much.September 25, 2014 at 2:59 am #196326Hi Nikki,
From my reading of the acca website, F4, both written and CbE, are changing significantly, and section B now consists of 6 MTQ’s, just line f1-3.
I plan on sitting F4 CBE in December. In fact, I have completed my F2, I’m writing F1 in 30 mins, and F3 in a month. So these are my 4 exams this session.
I’m also seeing rumours that ACCA is considering 4 exam session per year, which may accelerate the journey.

September 25, 2014 at 3:05 am #196327Yes David, I understand that we have the option to do either CBE or the paper-based exam… However the way the questions are in the BPP rev kit… They don’t seem like MTQs… dunno how a computer is supposed to mark answers like that… hence I am confused.
(Best of luck in your F1, F3 & F4 exams!)September 25, 2014 at 4:17 am #196330Hi Nikki,
Thanks for the luck! 85% for F1! Hahaha
There is a specimen CBE available from the ACCA website. The MtQ are just like the others…
Which edition of the BPP materials are you looking at? I have the latest BPP I teractive text, and I do not see any long questions there…

September 25, 2014 at 4:33 am #196331Wow! That’s great! Congratulations! 🙂 2 down, 2 to go!
I have the latest BPP. If you look at the solutions… The answers are a tad long… so I was wondering how does that make them MTQs.September 25, 2014 at 6:12 am #196339There are two versions of the December F4 paper. One is cbe which, as you say, is choosing answers. The other is paper based – for those who cannot get to a recognized centre for cbes.
Look at the specimen cbe F4 on this site and compare it with the specimen paper based F4
Ok?

F4 has been added to the sample CBE tests
September 27, 2014 at 3:20 pm #196662Hi David, I checked it out since July August time on the accaglobal website. I was just confused as to why the revision kit had their questions different from what I knew to be MTQs.
Thanks still 🙂 - AuthorPosts
