Omg!I know the feeling. I work part time and study part time and its soooooooo much. I think law is a huge area and students should be allowed more than just three hours. Is there any where I can post this suggestion for the examiner to see? Can anyone verify that f4 will be multiple choice paper in 2014?
December 8, 2013 at 10:05 am #151603Examiner have said that uk and global variant would be in CBE by target timeline of september 2014. Watch examiner’s F4 paper analysis interview
December 13, 2013 at 10:18 am #152827Bella – whoever said that the law paper (or indeed any other paper) was going to be easy?
February 8, 2014 at 12:12 pm #156827hello Mike Sir, i have just received my result and i have failed F4 Eng. I’ve heard there gonna be a change in the F4 Eng as from Sept 2014, can I have a little details about the change please
February 10, 2014 at 5:42 pm #157798It’s going to be 70% multiple choice questions (20 x 1 mark and 25 x 2 marks) and 5 more questions worth 6 marks each seeming to be sub-divided into 3 x 2 marks or 1 x 2 marks + 1 x 4 marks
For those students for whom English is not their first language, I imagine that this will be a n easier paper than at present
February 10, 2014 at 5:47 pm #157803Hi Mike,
Have the ACCA confirmed that the CBE will be in place from September 2014?I have searched the ACCA website but cannot see where this has been confirmed?
Thanks
February 10, 2014 at 6:07 pm #157812I seem to keep reading it on differing sources. Put it this way – I’m gearing up to preparing hundreds of F4 multiple choice questions for both the English and the Global variants.
I actually have in front of me as I write a “Specimen Exam applicable from December 2014, F4 Corporate and Business Law (English)”
February 11, 2014 at 6:32 am #157911hi mike
I am hoping to sit for f6, 7 n 9 papers but I still have f4 to pass. so could I give other papers expect f4 and continue my f4 xams with p level paper. Or will there be cbe before june this year?
February 11, 2014 at 7:15 am #157917Yes, you can do 6, 7 and 9 this year and then take on F4 with 1, 2 or 3 P level papers (if you pass those three Fs this year) Remember though that F4 exam is on the same day as P3
February 11, 2014 at 10:21 am #158011mike how.much papers could one sit in a exam including both cbe n paper exams
February 11, 2014 at 11:17 am #158017Hi Mike.
For the F4 CBE are they going to allow it to be sat at various dates, the same as F1-F3 or will it be staying as 6 monthly?February 11, 2014 at 11:48 am #158026sir are you sure that from september cbe started for f4?
February 11, 2014 at 11:50 am #158027The F4 examination will undergo significant changes in the coming year, with a new format for the written papers, for both English and Global and all variant papers, applicable from December 2014 and the introduction of computer based examinations for both English and Global from the end of that year.
Bothe the above comments are copied from the ACCA website 🙂
February 12, 2014 at 6:30 am #158341Hi Mike Sir,
would like to know if i’ll be able to take the f4 paper any time as from the Sept 2014 or only in Dec 2014?? Also if i’ve passed all my papers f1-f9 except f4 would it be possible for me to go through Oxfords brookes this year??February 12, 2014 at 6:05 pm #158463From December 2014:
The syllabus is assessed by a two-hour paper-based
examination, and is also offered as a computerbased
examination.
The examination consists of:
Section A
– 25 x 2 mark objective test questions 50%
– 20 x 1 mark objective questions 20%
Section B
– 5 x 6 mark multi-task questions 30%
100%
All questions are compulsory.February 19, 2014 at 4:59 pm #159446Hi Mike Sir

February 26, 2014 at 7:47 pm #160490Why not concentrate on just F6 and F7 in June? It will take away some of your stress and leave you with F4 and F9 for later in the year
February 26, 2014 at 8:14 pm #160495Hello, does this change in exam format mean that the 10 year rule to sit all acca exams starts again?
February 27, 2014 at 4:09 am #160585F4 is becoming CBE from December or from September?

I’m Singapore student, self study. I just get the news about change the exam format. So shock,! I will take f4 this June, only study two chapter.
But, now change the exam format, new format itz more easier than old format?
If like that, maybe I will change my plan and take f6 first.
A lot of paper will change to international variant. I take Singapore variant law, may i know Singapore variant law will change to international?
Kindly advice, thank you!May 27, 2014 at 4:49 pm #171192Has it been confirmed when we will be able to sit F4 as a CBE as yet?
Also when will publishers like BPP and Kaplan have study guides for the new F4 syllabus? Currently they only go up until June 2014 but you would have thought with that exam period almost here they would be ready to go with the Dec 14 syllabus for people who want to get going with it immediately after the June sitting like myself?

Its important to remember that when F4 does become computer based it will no longer be valid certification of English Proficieny (which is a requirement for the Oxford Brooks Degree.
June 7, 2014 at 4:30 pm #175043Riduculous.. MCQ … ACCA should be quality and this will destroy ACCA. The institution is either stupid and ruining a very good professional body. Students do you not want a high quality, thorugh examintion to prepare you for the real world not driving test to make you pass.

I approached an exam centre a couple of days ago with a view to booking the CBE for the F4 paper from September. I was advised that ACCA have now delayed the CBE roll-out until November and was advised to aim for a Jan/Feb 15 CBE date to avoid teething problems etc.
It was my intention to do F4 & F5 this december but i have now revised this to F5 only in December with a view to obtaining learning materials early December and aiming to sit in Feb 15. This would then enable this paper to be out of the way (assuming success!) in time to focus on the next papers for the June 15 sittings etc.
