Hello,
I’m not sure if this is a known issue but I believe that some information is missing from the F3 lecture notes document. Particularly the start of chapter two (pages 7, 8 and 9), there are a number of examples (the business owns, the business owes) but these are just followed by blanks. Is it because the additional content is available through the lectures? I haven’t got access to these at the moment.
Many thanks,
TomOctober 17, 2016 at 1:38 pm #344256It is not an issue!
The second page of the notes makes it very clear that the notes should only be used with the free lectures. They are lecture notes and it is in the lectures that I work through the examples and explain and expand on the notes.
If you are not watching the lectures for any reason then you need to buy a Study Text from one of the ACCA approved publishers and study from there. If you are watching the lectures then you only need a Revision Kit, because it contains lots of exam standard questions for practice, and practice is vital.
The answers to examples are printed in the lecture notes (see the contents page), but again, you should not use the notes without watching the lectures.
(I don’t really understand why you have not got access to the lectures, because you obviously have internet access and the lectures are all free of charge.)
October 19, 2016 at 9:01 am #344937All makes sense now. I don’t have access to the videos at work because embedded youtube videos are blocked under company policy. Now happily following along at home instead, brilliant resource. Do you have a zip file download of the videos available? I am trying to gain the required access at work also.
Many thanks
TomOctober 19, 2016 at 2:14 pm #344979I am pleased that you are now able to watch the videos.
The lectures can only be watched online – it is the only way that we can keep this website free of charge.
