The exam seemed to be easy from the word “go” but along the way the lines changed…..and these contigent liabilities, their disclosure was confusing and apparently those qns dominated the entire paper.
    Hope I passed. Arrrgh!

The paper was very easy. IAS 37 came up alot and extracts from consolidated statement ( calculating goodwill, consideration and adjustment for inventory), single quest. on control a/c reconciliation and suspense a/c, but more on adjustment to profit after correcting errors.1 question on sales tax account

I think there were too many questions considering consolidation. There should be more also from other topics.

the paper was very challenging, but the problem is i am a conqueror thru Christ. it was lekker in the 1st few questions but it went ruthless as i paged thru. nonetheless i gut a distinction.

There was around 2-3 questions on statement of cash flow. It was on calculation & theory too… ask to calculate cash from investing activities.

i did the exam 2 months ago cbe and failed by 2 points. This time paperbased was much much harder. way to many calculation and not enough time. the exam was confusing. open tuiton has been a great help and i have enjoyed watching the lectures and understoond them… but when it comes down to the acca exam – they are much much harder and complex. Acca just has a way of twisting things round and confusing you. very disapointed

Dudu-I prepared F3 in just 1 month and cleared !

ella1025-CBE question are easy but conceptual ! It’s not necessary that all questions will be from consolidation ! Well,Sales tax,Depreciation,Double entry book keeping and consolidation are the most 95% important topics ! Well,Prepare theory ! There are approximately,20 questions about theory ! I got 38 questions about theory just 12 questions from numerical !

@Dudu, I think you have enough time to study!! Practice as much questions as you can. Try demo CBE exam online. Look at opentuition forum – it has a lot of questions, try to solve them by yourself and then compare with given answers.

@ella1025, I had some questions on consolidation (CBE). Check here article about consolidation statements – it was helpful for me: https://www.accaglobal.com/en/student/qualification-resources/acca-qualification/acca-exams/f3-exams/exams-f34.html
