Hi, just registered on the forum and finding some great information. I’m taking the F3 exam on December 12th and want to get going with the study. I just read that that there will be some changes in the exam for December. What changes will these be? What text would you recommend I study? I’m exempt from F1 and F2 and did well at accounting in school. Will that help a lot for the exam? Thanks for the help, just want to clear up some of this stuff before I get going! Oh actually, Is it ok if my exemptions are not fully sorted before completing the F3? Its just a matter of sending off the information really though!
In my opinion BPP is the best study text. acca has given them platinum status. kaplan and gtg study text are given gold status.
you can download f3 syllabus from acca website. you have to purchase the study text for the new syllabus.

Does anyone know what date the syllabus chnage comes into effect, I want to know if it will affect me if I take the CBE exam by then end of November.
i have enquired at exam center they told me upto nov 30 , syllabus wont change.
chapters , Partnership and IT removed .
additional chapters, consolidated financial statements, interpretation of financial statements.
same minor changes in exam question style.hey there, any idea where we can find detailed information about the changes? i know the links to the syllabuses but I really need help with the specifics, thanks

Hey! The ACCA website has moved its contents around and it’s not showing the f3 context change anymore. I am due sitting mine on the 9th. I have LSBF’s book that was valid until the end of November. Do you think that the lectures on this website will be enough to help me with the new additions?
Yes. download the notes and watch all lectures, then practice test question for any topic you have studied
You will probably never want to go back to LSBF 😀

Oh trust me, if it was up to me I wouldn’t be at LSBF in the first place. Thanks anyway. I am listening to a lecture right now. 🙂
