This exam I found it difficult……..maybe I am the only one. A lot of confusing variances and budgets. And questions regarding selection of combinations like (i) and (ii) were also something else. I didnt get it when price index was given during the calculation of variances.
ACCA should lower their pass mark for this paper. #WhatAShock# Argh!December 12, 2012 at 3:00 pm #110923AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

The exam was much harder than the pilot paper; what was the point of misleading students with an easy pilot paper and giving a completely different exam?

1.Standard Costing and Variance analysis.
2.There was also problems for calculating costs using index.
3.Budgets, production and sales as well as working out discounts and legged payments
4. Determining abnormal gain or loss
5. Flexing budgets,
i forgot the other ones…….all the best on your paper.December 12, 2012 at 5:35 pm #110929AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

The majority of the questions seem to take forever to read and calculate, while a few could be done in seconds, that is what made it difficult.

I was prepared by ,y text and Opentuition but i find the exam to be very difficult and the time is too short. You cannot think about a question too long.

Sitted F2 in Moscow today, starting at noon. Exam wasn’t soft. It took a lot of time to read and calculate. I really saw that sections A B C (about 40-45% of text book) were presented 30% in exam book. D E F – 70%.
IMHO, 2 hours are not enough for F2. Better, split it into 2 separate papers.December 12, 2012 at 8:39 pm #110935AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

Tricky paper I don’t think two hours was enough for this paper and it went quite off track to to pilot paper.
December 12, 2012 at 9:11 pm #110936Anyone remebered what they got for the question regarding the trucking company making deliveries with particular loads over particular distances?..I was really shaky on that one
December 13, 2012 at 5:01 am #110937hello everyone
that exam was too difficult for me, I learned F2 from opentuition and all basic I could understood, I am an accountant in my country and it was not difficult for me, but in exam maybe my eglish was poor or that questions came from somewhere else… I think admin if you could provide with more same difficulty questions and more practice in it. I don’t care about theory bacause practice is everithing.
ADMIN (in spite of i have mantioned) THANKS A LOT FOR EVERYTHING, if god helps me with F2, I’ll try to study hard next notes.

The questions are hard that I have to spend more time thinking on them, but thanks to opentuition I would have felt very bad about my preparation if not for your free online lectures.
Thanks once again!!December 14, 2012 at 2:11 pm #110940AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

ACCA should really do something about this Exam. The best thing is to lower the pass mark
December 14, 2012 at 4:53 pm #110941Hello everybody,
yes u all are so right too hard and too little time, but thanks to opentuition I have a good knowledge of FMA/F2 paper and ready for F5. I mean ACCA over doing it, i have a fair understanding of variance and budget the questions was so complicated. I hope I pass. But thank opentuition.

this exam had a lot of questions similar to the practice test on opentuition.
i hate variances and most of the exams was based on that – i need to master variances
