Hi
I have just decided to study for the ACCA after gaining my MAAT. I understood that I would be exempt from the first 3 papers, but ACCA have advised me that if I wish to eventually get a practising certificate which includes auditing I need to re-sit these and waiver my exemptions, as my maat certificate was gained more than 5 years ago.
Can anyone let me know if the tuition, course notes etc is relevent to the computer based exams which these are tested on now. So that I don’t have to purchase the syllabus material for the f1 f2 f3 papers, as I am a little gutted that I have to do this!
Many thanks
NicolaAugust 29, 2014 at 5:57 pm #192981The computer based exams and the paper based exams both have the same syllabus. Our free Course Notes and free lectures are therefore relevant for both versions of the exams.
The books that are worth buying are the Revision/Exam Kits, because they contain lots of exam-standard questions to practice on, and practice is vital.August 29, 2014 at 6:06 pm #192984Thanks for this information its very helpful do you know where I can get exam kits/revision kits from at a reasonable price please? my current provider wanted 195 pound for each subject as a home based study .
August 29, 2014 at 7:45 pm #192993You can buy Revision/ExamKits direct from BPP or Kaplan (they are both excellent) at a much, much cheaper cost direct from their websites. (Search in Google from BPP and for Kaplan)
Actually, depending what country you are in, you might have a local stockist – you will find the list of stockists on the websites for BPP and Kaplan.August 30, 2014 at 6:53 pm #193077Thank you very much I will do that

New to this site.
Do you think it is not worth buying the text books as well? Does this site cover all aspects?
