hi all, i was graduating under University of London External Program, Bsc Accounting&Finance, and i’m supposed to enjoy the benefit of some subjects being exempted if i sit for ACCA exam. The problem I have is I was graduating in 2009 and it is mentioned in the ACCA official website that if the candidates graduated many years ago, they should retake the exams again to refresh their memory. I dont wish to retake the exams again but would it be possible ton get exempted or is it a must to retake the exams? Thanks a million. Deeply appreciate your reply.

You do not need to retake the exams and ACCA will grant you all of your available exemptions that meet the criteria.
The recommendation to retake exams is purely that – a reccomendation.
I registered with ACCA in 2010 and was granted exemptions from F1, F2 & F3 for an AAT qualification I passed back in 1994(!)
The only limitation I have is if I wished to “practice” as an ACCA accountant I would have to forfeit my exemption as the exams were passed over 15yrs ago, but since I am only hoping to qualify at this stage I am content with that.As you say you passed your qualificatations in 2009 so I would expect this not to be a problem for you to gain any exemptions or conditional exemptions.
