Hi everyone, as I am new converter to ACCA Qualifications series I applied and exempted from F1. I would like to ask questions on this bases, how do you think will it be good for me to sit F1 and reject exemption, if yes (or not), I am thinking on combination of F1,F2,F3 to take in one session, what are the suggestions? Thanks to who read this thread 🙂

I was exempted from F1-3 but chose to take them (I had actually done F1 before I got the exemptions anyway). I would advise people to take F2 and F3 even if exempt but personally I wouldn’t bother with F1. Spend the extra time really getting to grips with F2 and 3 instead and give yourself a really good foundation for the later papers. There’s nothing in F1 that you won’t pick up later if you need to.

thank you for your valuable comment nps1976, can you clarify one point for me? the problem is I registered exam before I got exemption, do you have any information about it that can they replace that payment as exemption fee?

    I don’t know I’m afraid, give them a ring.

Depending on why you have the exemption, you may not have to pay for it (eg, if you are exempt because of being AAT qualified, you don’t pay for your exemptions but that is due to AAT being part of the QCF credit framework.)

Why would you take the exam that you are exempted from,. Just study the upper papers they include elements of F1 F2 and F3.. and you would have covered them in the later papers anyway. the reason why you are exempted is because your previous certification or qualifications have taught you the things in that paper.

I know the reason may be because of my previous education as it more or less covered F1 topics. So, in this case I have to pay for my exemption, the problem I paid for F1 as exam registration 🙂 seems I have to ask from ACCA to change the status of payment or whatever else they can do I don’t know

Fathuntress, do you mean to go on with up on F3 , like F4 or F5.. ? or to sit F2+F3 exams initially?

Just go on with whatever papers you need to complete the fundamentals(F levels), dont pay or take a paper that u are exempted from.. waste of time. how much do they charge you for exemption?

u will cover those topic in further papers anyway.
