Hello sir, in your lectures of employment income why did you charge 20% on $55 of the child voucher? Isn’t that exempt benefit meaning that no tax would be charged on it?
£55 is indeed the EXEMPT benefit – please check the lecture and let me know where the statement was made so that I can check it if necessary, but I wonder if it was in fact where I tried to explain why the exempt amount was a different figure for each tax rate band by computing how much tax was SAVED by each of a basic rate, a higher rate and an additional rate taxpayer!
