Does it matter which exam you sit?[ English or Global] and which is more manageable?
September 15, 2015 at 9:33 am #271918No, it doesn’t matter UNLESS you intend living in the UK and practicing as an auditor. In that case, you need to elect for the English variant
Neither is any more manageable than the other

September 23, 2015 at 7:24 am #273076Hi Sir 🙂
I’m planning on sitting for the computer based exam in November for F4. Are there any major syllabus changes? In the new syllabus don’t we have to know case stories. Pls let know about the new syllabus. Thank you. 🙂September 23, 2015 at 3:18 pm #273267No major syllabus changes since June
No, you no longer need to know case names (you never did – it just made the law easier to remember) but listening to the stories will help you to remember the principles
OK?

Can you give me some tips on how to study with in this 1.5 months. I’m also going to university and doing a degree so I’ve got uni lectures almost the whole week. While doing that I’m studying for the ACCA law paper. I’m using Kaplan books. The notes in them are confusing. I only understand when I listen to your lectures here in Open tuition. After that i read the Kaplan text.
I just want some advice from you on how to do self studies for this paper. Any tips or techniques? or a study plan for me 🙂
Thanks Alot 🙂September 29, 2015 at 6:57 pm #274140Stop reading the study text. Watch / listen to the video lectures with the free course notes in front of you. Do that twice and, as often as you can force yourself, read through the course notes.
Then get a revision kit / exam kit and start practicing answering mcqs. Here’s a tip! DON’T WRITE YOUR GUESSES TO THE MCQS in the revision kit. Write them on a separate piece of paper.
That way you can do those exercises multiple times without being guided by your previous attempts
Final tip? Post any problems that you come across on here and I’ll get back to you
Ok?
