Sir I’m facing a problem with the examiner’s verbs. In P3 BPP revision kit on page no. xiv , there is a list of verbs. There is a verb named “Evaluate” and there are 3 marks mentioned for it. It means if any question comes of 15 marks % it is saying to evaluate something, then it would mean to justify 5 valid points. Right sir?
But if this is correct, see Dec.2010 exam Question no. 4 part (a) which is “Evaluate the perceived benefits & costs of adopting e-assessment at the AAA. (10 marks).
Here it means that we have to justify almost 4 valid points. But in examiner marking scheme of Dec.2010, there is only 1 mark per valid point.
I’m very much confused about these verbs. Please help me. I shall be very thankful to you.

I don’t think there is a consistent relationship between verbs and marks. BPP was trying to say that some verbs usually imply longer answers. So:

List, identify, state : probably short answers, say maximum a short sentence.

Describe, explain: more needed. Perhaps 2 sentences.

Evaluate, assess: longer. Needs description plus a judgement as to the effects of the matter.

Sir it means that every one valid point will score only 1 mark only irrespective of material written? E.g if i only identify a strength & on the other hand if i identify any strength & links it to the M’s model & explain why it is strength , these both point will score equal marks then?
