Hi I was reading the OT exam tips and I note it says corporate governance for 8 marks. I read somewhere CG was removed from the syllabus although general issues will apply. Can you elaborate on the type of CG question that may arise?

Also, with 5 days left, can you advise the “main” thing to focus on?

    Thank you

The ACCA exams are cumulative. It is theoretically possible that the examiner could ask you anything at all from the F level papers. Thankfully, he’s a very fair examiner and the chance of a contract law question being asked is beyond remote! However, I see no reason why, in the 15 or so marks left available in question 1, he could not ask for a general question from governance. He’s not likely to ask you the role of the remuneration committee, but there’s no reason why he shouldn’t ask you something like the justification for companies being required to include within their annual report a corporate social responsibility report and what could be the typical contents.

I have to admit that I do not remember seeing the “I read somewhere CG was removed from the syllabus” comment. If you are correct, then I’m sorry for suggesting it as a possible topic to be examined. It won’t do you any harm to revise it but if you’re confident in your memory, then fine

Hi thanks for the reply. I saw it at the below link.

However as you have indicated, general governance issues may still asked.

Yes, and personally I would not be at all surprised to see a question (part) in there on Tuesday
