what are the specific exam techniques for p4 because when i was reading about retake article, it was written that if student fail by 45 to 49 marks is must be because of exam techniques? so waht are they?

Plus how to write assumptions ? how, when and where i have to write assumptions ?

for example : residual value after tax.. should i have to take assumption that tax already been deducted from balancing amount. because it is obvious thing if residual value is given after tax ?

And where i have to write my assumption in paper ? in appendix of my working or in report ?

The main thing is to make sure you show all your workings clearly enough for the marker to be able to follow them – the marks are for the workings, not for the final answer.

Additionally, it is vital to allocate your time and to do something (however little) for every part of every question. There is never a part of a question where you can do absolutely nothing – just doing one small calculation or writing just one line for a written part will almost certainly get you at least 1 mark, if not more.

You should have a section in your report where you list your assumptions. There is no need to write down as an assumption where something has actually been told in the question.
In questions where a report is not required, then there is no specific need to list assumptions, but if ever you are doing something that you are not certain about then write down what you have assumed. If you then do the correct workings on your assumption you will still get marks (even if they are different that what the examiners answer has done).
