Hi,
i had a query related to FAB exam, as i would be taking my FAB exam on this Monday, i have a serious issue though it is little technical&logical nature of question..the question is that as section A carries worth of 76 marks, out of which 16 questions are for 1 marks and 30 question of 60 marks, and however Section-B holds worth of 24 marks…..so my question goes in which part is it possible to score the highest…and what should i make my knowledge through and more bright as i just need to pass my exam.
thanks in advance!!!!!!

January 4, 2015 at 10:29 am #221954If a 4 mark question is set out in two parts with 2 marks per part of the question, then you could get 2 out of 4 if you got one part right.
If a 2 mark question asks you to pick 2 out of 4 choices and you get one right you would get Zero marks.
There is no partial marking as such.
Does that explain it?
January 5, 2015 at 9:45 am #221987If a question or section section of a question is specifically shown to be worth x marks, you either receive x or 0.
In your examnple, unless the 2 mark question was specifically divided into sections each shown to be worth 0.5 marks you would receive no marks for answering 3 out of 4 correctly.
February 16, 2015 at 4:35 am #228517I need your help. I am writting my F1 paper in june but after trying out the specimen exam CBE on the ACCA page I noticed that if you select a wrong answer for a question you can actually change as many times as possible till you finally choose the correct answer… Is this how it is in the exam as well? Can you change your answer as many times till you get a correct answer?
February 16, 2015 at 8:57 am #228553Yes.
Look here:

“You can revisit questions and change your answers at any time during the exam.”
March 3, 2015 at 6:13 am #231040You can change as as many time as you want .. But like in ACCA speciman exam on their ias.server It won’t show weather the answer is right or wrong as soon as you answer..
It is a technical issue or something…
In real exam You will only know how much mark you got once you press the exam complete button or time runs out !!!
You won’t even know which answers you did right or Wrong……. π - AuthorPosts
