    Hello everyone
I just started doing the p2 kaplan exam revision kit, and I thought I would start by doing the section b standard questions. One problem I have when I go through the answers is that in some questions the answers state that you should state the recognition criteria for some simple marks eg:IFRS 5- NCA for sale criteria. But other just state that your should only apply the criteria to the question, I am a bit confused in this .
Are there any key words or phrases that can help students identify what they asking for or a way to identify what should be written.
I hope my question is clear and thank you in advance

I would be quite happy as a marker to see you talk in general terms about recognition criteria to begin with and for you then to apply those criteria to the specific scenario in the question.

Do not worry about writing too much – so long as you don’t overrun your time allocation!

Ask yourself “What is the ACCA testing?” and the answer must be technical competence. So long as you are demonstrating that competence it doesn’t matter if you over-demonstrate by writing too much – again, so long as you don’t overrun your time allocation
