August 9, 2022 at 7:35 am #662737OK – this may not be what you expected, but I suggest you start with these practice questions https://opentuition.com/acca/aa/aa-practice-questions – say Chapters 4-6, 9, 10, 12 – there are full answer justifications so if you get things wrong you should learn from them – if you find them easy so you’re not learning anything knew then go to the next step – but if you find you are learning things, work through from16 onwards also. (By making a selection, I am not suggesting any priority or relative importance, I just want you to get moving.)
Then see on this page https://opentuition.com/acca/aa there are two “OT-Case Questions” – again with good justifications to help address common misconceptions that lead candidates to selecting wrong answers.
Then attempt, as best you can the Section B Qs & As from September/December 2020 – download the Qs from here https://www.accaglobal.com/lk/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f8/past-exam-papers.html or, better, attempt in the CBE Practice Platform.
Then following the tutor’s revision lectures here https://opentuition.com/acca/aa/acca-aa-revision-lectures – you will get more out of the lectures if you have attempted the Qs first. You should then have a grasp of what the examiner is looking for. There are then three more exams you can assign to yourself in the past exam library (M/J21, S/D20 and M/J22) – you should aim to attempt these in the time allowed AND thoroughly review your answers against the answers and marking schemes provided.
You absolutely must leave time to attempt the two practice exams – these are good mocks of exam style and standard with clear justifications and marking schemes to help you learn.
There is another exam style and standard Section A here https://opentuition.com/acca/aa/acca-aa-revision-mock-exam
The key is “practice, practice, practice” – and it is better to properly work through fewer Qs and really understand how to answer them rather than skim read lots of answers.
