I was thinking that since we are in the IT era, exam should not be done on pen and paper, can consider on Microsoft word and excel. so that we do not need to struggle with ugly handwriting and spend time on computation.
maybe some school work assignments can contribute some weighting.
anyone in agreement?June 11, 2014 at 5:00 pm #175963surely one of the things acca is testing is our abilty to write clearly and well in readyness for our professional life. Not all work is carried out on a computer
June 11, 2014 at 9:52 pm #176041No, pstan is correct. It is utterly archaic to do fully written exams these days. I am sure many professionals who take exams can type much more effectively and efficiently than suffer the consequences of being hindered by slow / unintelligible handwriting.
ACCA must at least offer the option for this esp for P papers. The CPA exams in USA is fully computerized. Surely it would be easier for the examiner too?
How could we suggest this to the ACCA?
