When a question refers to the evaluation of the company performance using a model such as P5F what should you comment on?
P5F can be used to evaluate the performance of an entity within the industry in which it operates. Am I right in thinking that its not the “company performance” as such (my interpretation of this would be the financial ratios etc), but how the model factors influence the company and as such impact upon the financial and non financial measures such as growth, market share, csf’s and strategy.
If the question specifically tells you to use P5F you must use that, though it’s not really company performance, its industry attractiveness – which the company can’t do much about.
So a question saying company performance using P5F is inconsistent. But since P5F was specified oyu have to goe round all of these saying what you can.
