    Hello,
    can anyone help to clarify, what is the difference between Plaintiff and Claimant for the definition of the person who commences a civil action? In the Notice ( English variant) Plaintiff and Defendant are mentioned for the Civil Law topic , but in my Kit the right answer is Claimant.

    Its basically just a change in terminology from plaintiff to claimant.It was part of an attempt to modernise the legal system.Other than change in word there is no difference.You can read more about the change in following link-

    Thank you so much for the link, but I didn’t get what should be a rationale in choosing the right answer…The question suggests to choose either Claimant or Plaintiff. Hope, it will not come in my paper.
