Ordinary shares 10,000,000 (1$) each = 10,000,000$.
8% Preference Shares = 2,000,000$
How much shares do the preference one hold? and what would be the amount of each preference share?
Would this be 800000 shares (8% of the total) and 2.5$ each making it 2,000,000$ in total? 2000000/800000 = 2.5$ each preference share?
Where on earth did you find this question, because it is impossible to answer!
You need to be told the nominal value of each preference share and you cannot calculate what that is on the information you have typed.
Yes, I would need the nominal value of each share to answer this, I just opened up my f3 notes and went through the basics which I had completely forgotten, got it now. Thanks.
You are welcome 🙂
