Hi Guys,
how do you determine which environmental analysis tool(s) such as PEST, Porter’s 5 Forces, BCG or Ansoff’s product -market analysis to apply to a particular case (scenario)? Sometimes what i have applied to the scenario is different from what the examiner used in the exam solutions…and this scared me.

Generally I look for the following terms to help me know which model (which helped me from p3)
competitive envir – porters 5 forces
divisions/products/mix of portfolio – bcg
ansoff – direction/strategic choices/recommend what can be done to reduce planning gap
environmental factors – pestel
