Hi All,
my understanding is that if there are errors in the day book, no entry in the suspense account is required. However, if the total of a day book has been posted incorrectly to a ledger account such as total of sales book posted to sale account, then an entry in the suspense account is required.
can you please confirm if the above statement is correct, and if that is the case, explain why?
