    Just taking the cafe sector:

Market growth rate 2010 to 2012 is from: 3072 to 3348 ie 276. This is a % increase of 276/3072 = 9%. Similarly for other years and sectors.

    Market share for 2010 = 31/3072 = 1%
Market share of largest operator = 3%
    Relative market share = 1%/3% = 0.33

Similarly for other years and sectors.

Hi, can you please explain why we divide by 3072 (276/3072 as above) and not 3348 (actual 2011)?
    Thank you

Growth is from where you start to where you end up.

    Actual starting point is 3072
    Actual ending point 3348

    Growth rate (3348 – 3072)/3072 = 9%

Hello, please can you explain the figures for some relative market are different even though they have the same market share? For example, the market share in cafe for 2010, 2011 are the same but the relative market share are different. Just wanting to know if it’s more of rounding as I would have put my relative market share for cafe as 0.33, 0.33, 0.37, 0.4 and if that would be acceptable. Thanks

Seems to me it is because of sloppy/inconsistemt rounding. Your figures are fine.
