Hello,
I am currently attempting the F4 LW (GLO) exam. The lecture notes and videos provided on this site have been a huge help for getting ready for the exam. As such, I want to thank the tutors and people who made this information accessible to all for free.
However, with my exams nearing I wanted to remove a suspicion I have and would greatly appreciate your input. The videos (whether that be on Youtube or on the site) date back to 2020, all the comments and information seems to be during that date range as well. As a consequence, I became unsure as to whether or not the videos are up to date for the 2023-2024 exams.
This suspicion was further reenforced when I asked the AI on the site this specific question. To which it answered that they are not up to date with the current curriculum. Which I believe to be a mistake as the videos follow the lecture notes quite well.
Could someone please confirm if the lectures provided in LW (GLO) up to date for the upcoming June exam 2024? If they are not, would using them as material still be acceptable (for instance if the curriculum has not changed much since then).
Kind regards,
AnthonyMay 23, 2024 at 12:09 pm #705875Welcome to our forums! You need to be asking the relevant tutor https://opentuition.com/forum/ask-acca-tutor-forums/ask-the-tutor-acca-lw-exams – though I am sure the answer will be yes.
For LW-ENG and LW-GLO there have been neglible syllabus changes (and there are no “exam docs” per se for GLO) for quite a few years now.
I just asked the AI tutor whether the lectures are up-to-date and it answered “yes” – but if you ask is something from 3-4 years ago current it’s going to say no as logically something “old” is not current.

Thank you for your response!
I redirected my question to the LW forum as you kindly suggested. I understood that the case as well, that potentially the lectures are from 4 years ago but that the syllabus didn’t have any major changes.
However, I became unsure after the AI response and preferred to double-check (it was probably the way I formulated it, as it now answers ‘yes’ as well). In addition to that, I felt that the curriculum would have incorporated changes in the law, for instance the impact of Brexit since the making of the videos.
I will just wait confirmation from the relevant tutor on the forum, thank you again for your time!
May 23, 2024 at 4:33 pm #705887The impact of Brexit was not known when the 2023-24 syllabus was finalised – there is an examinable piece of legislation relevant to the 2024-25 syllabus, but that won’t be examined before September 2024 and its only practical relevance is for the ENG exam, not GLO.
