For fuel benefit in employment income:
If the employer’s contribution towards fuel exceeds the employee’s contribution towards fuel, do I need to deduct it from the fuel benefit?
You seem to have misunderstood the concept.
If an employee has any amount of fuel for private use they have a benefit in lind. The only way to remove the benefit is for the employee to pay for their own fuel in full. It’s all or nothing
