what is the treatment of medical insurance policy either if paid by company or paid by employee himself???
If employer pays for private medical insurance for an employee this is an assessable benefit on the employee. If the employee pays then this is personal expenditure and does not achieve tax relief for the employee.
Sir, if an employee is provided with an accommodation which is necessary for performance of his duties, and then the employee makes a contribution. Is that contribution an allowable deduction?
why does he need to pay a contribution if the accomadation is necessary for his performance of his duties?
There is no assessable benefit – there is no allowable deduction. If someone pays rent to live in a property then this is not an allowable deduction against income.
Thank You sir 🙂
