Dear sir,
doubt 1- Gifts of hampers to customers costing less than 50pounds is a deductible expense for the employer??
doubt 2- What about gifts of hampers over 50pounds given to employees not in recognition of their service? deductible for employer when calculating trading profits?
thank you
1. It depends what is in the hamper!
2. Gifts to employees are assessable benefits on the employee and will therefore be allowable for the business
