Ask the Tutor ACCA LW

Easiest f4 version

RRaveen11y ago
what is the easiest version of f4. The global or the English?

There really is no easy version. Both English and Global are very similar, except...... Global includes certain international acts and declarations that you have to learn Partnerships, company law, directors, capital maintenance, share capital and a few others appear in BOTH English and Global. Really its choice and depending on where you plan on working. For example, if you plan to work in England UK, then opt for English, otherwise opt for Global. This really is what I think! Mike, feel free to elaborate on any important points to consider. Avnish

Hi Avnish Thank you for your permission to respond to a question that was asked of me - it IS on the Ask the TUTOR page and, although my powers of recall may be deteriorating, I'm pretty sure that you haven't yet been recognised as a tutor!

Raveen, this question has been asked frequently in the past! Let me ask you a question in a sort of reply ...... "If any one variant were easier than the others, why do not all students elect for that easy variant?" Of more relevance is your future aspirations! The ACCA rules as they exist at the moment are that, if it is your intention to practice / work as an ACCA qualified accountant in an accountant capacity, the you should elect to pass F4 English. If that is not in your ambition, then probably go for Global Personally I find English variant of much greater entertainment than Global, but that's very much a personal comment. The choice is yours ...... do you want to practice as an accountant in the UK in the future? If yes, then English is your choice Hope that helps

Thanks all for giving my dilemma some thought. I guess i will go with English law as it keeps my options open.

Seems a good enough reason to me
