Hi, I want to know If anyone have used opentution for the preparation of E1. Or any other material like CIMA Study, Kaplan etc which one is the best or its just combination of different material available please share your opinion.
February 21, 2017 at 11:13 pm #373572Have the same question.. opentution notes are great my only concern it’s that it’s seems not to much to study ..
February 24, 2017 at 12:18 am #373945Hi Elena,
Well after going through first chapter of OT E1 it shouldn’t be enough because I have gone through Kaplan study material, Astranti ( Free) notes I think OT is good for basics but not that descriptive. You need to study other material as well to pass exam. I liked Astranti as well if you are looking for free material.
OT is good as a general forum and getting some basic idea about the topics it is a good platform I hope things will improve.
If you are interested in studying together or discussion on topics please let me know I will be happy to share some knowledge with you.
Kind regards
Abdul
Australia.March 4, 2017 at 12:07 pm #375511It’s a good question. The Kaplan book is about 4 times as big as the notes on here. However, i think, particularly for E1 which i’m studying into now, it should suffice.
I was wondering if the same study text is now relevant as the exam scheme has changed somewhat with the pass grade etc. Thanks,
IBMarch 14, 2017 at 6:51 pm #378215ibrown05, why is the Kaplan book 4 times as big? Does it generally just offer more examples? I don’t want to purchase any books as I’m on a zero budget. Can someone please share a free study text PLEASE!
March 20, 2017 at 3:17 pm #378787Is there any way to avoid paying the books?I never bought a book even at Uni I used to photocopy all my books, for bachelor and for the masters..
Regarding the tests instead, are they similar to the actual tests of CIMA?

March 22, 2017 at 3:13 am #378889Try Astranti they have free notes available on their website but you can’t photocopy it you can read it online and make your own notes that’s the best option I can think of. But book cannot be replaced by their notes.
Kind regards,Rakh

May 18, 2017 at 9:10 am #386816Hi there,
I passed my E1 Exam first time back in Feb 17 I used
BPP book but for myself I actually studied the whole book as watching online lecture videos you don’t always cover everything you need to know. Once gained an understanding of all the syllabus , then went on to using online practice exams purchased via Kaplan Aptitude 1 & 2.
The Kaplan online tests really helped me gain my confidence to understand questions within time conditions as well as focus on particular topics I struggled most with.Tip, practice, practice and More Practice.
Best of luck!
