E1 Kaplan exam kit page 18 q80. I don’t understand this after reading Kaplan study text page 174. Option C to me seems like an example of giving back, not digital inclusion… None of the options seems like digital inclusion to me based on what the study text says… Thanks?

I don’t have the kit or text book. If you post the question I’ll try to help.

    Q80
In the context of CDR, which of the following is an example of “digital inclusion”
A Incentivising customers to give more data
B The customer’s ability to opt in and be rewarded for sharing data
C A pharmaceutical company donating clinical trial data to a university
D A bank using a customer’s financial information to help them improve their financial management

    Answer:
    C
Digital inclusion sees businesses share data in a benevolent way to other causes or
organisations that may benefit from their data assets.

I would define digital inclusion as addressing connectivity, accessibility and digital skills to ensure everyone can benefit from and make use of IT data and processes. I do not think the Kaplan definition (as given in the answer) is correct.

I do not think that any of the options really describes digital inclusion. I agree with you. Donating data is an example of giving back.

Thanks for clarifying. I have reported it to Kaplan Publishing…
