Some people get on fine with home study whereas others prefer class-based courses. I suggest you start intermediate level using self study and change if you need to.

At what level will you be starting at may I ask?
It depends on your study style. I am not vet comfortable on staring at computer screens and prefer printed material. Therefore I am going to start with study texts.

We produce printed notes that you can download – not just on-line material.

Sorry, I meant ‘operational level’, not intermediate. For the main CIMA qualification thee are three levels: operational, managerial and strategic.

Full information is available on the CIMA site. See here:

    Dear Opentuition tutor,

The material, format and presentation suits me perfectly. I’ve gone through chapter 1-4 in the last 16 hours and scored a minimum of 60% on the practice quizes, for each chapter.

With that in mind and the fact that I’m 39 year old and have a lot of business ownership experience, and a very committed mindset. Will it be possible for me to pass the CIMA E1 exam using just the online lectures and notes? I realise P1 and F1 tend to be more difficult.

Thank you so much for this resource!

Glad to know you like our material.

You also need to buy a question practice book/revision kit from BPP or Kaplan (20% discount on BPP books bought through us). The quizzes we have would not give tou enough question practice. You should also try the mock/specimen exam on the CIMA website.

Other than that our material should be enough

That’s great news, thank again so much.

    CIMA E1 Chapter 4 Test

In my answer to question 5 , I spelled “remuneration committee” incorrectly. I spelled it, “remuneration comittee”, with one m. The quiz gave me no marks for my answer, would this be the case in the official CIMA exam?

In the CIMA exam they don’t ask you to type in words to avoid misspelling and synonym complications. If you have to enter a number, they build in tolerances to allow for rounding.

    Hello,

    Hope you are well,

I was wondering if it is enough to study your lecture notes + videos for learning phase.

    +

For revision: I am doing your Practice tests

Do you think it will be enough or do you have another suggestion for me to take. (For ex, Kaplan”s Exam Practice KIT)?

    Thank you,

    Regards,
