Sir, i don’t really understand what is the difference between reintermediation and countermediation. Can help to explain it to me? Thank you in advance.
There is not a lot of difference.
Expedia is reintermediation ie put the middle-man back. Expedia is owned by Microsoft so is independent of the airline business.
Opodo is countermediation. Again, this introduces a middle-man between customer and airline, but Opodo is owned by a consortium of airlines.
