Which of the following regarding the duty of care owed by accountants when making statements is
correct?
It is owed to any recipient of the statement
It is owed only to those with whom the accountant has a direct business arrangement
Its extent depends upon the purpose for which the statement was made
Hello teacher is statment 3 or 1 correct?
Or is it maybe statement 2? FYI, my money is on Statement 3 ‘the extent depends on …’ but I’d like to know what your thoughts are, and why. And also why you apparently disagree with the printed answer.
Hear from you soon?
