Hi sir,
While performing due diligence report
Auditor will give recommendation to buy the target comp or not
this is assuming managemnt responsibility as its deceision taken instead of them?
See Chapter 30. A due diligence review is a fact finding/evidence gathering assignment.
It’s purpose is NOT to recommend (or advise against) the client’s strategy – it is for the board to make their own recommendations/decisions based on the facts available to them.
(As you point out – if it were otherwise – there would be unacceptable risk!)
