Sir in the model answer for DRB there is also a discussion of “buy-side and sell-side” models. What do each of these really mean?

Buy side, or upstream side, is all to do with ordering raw materials, taking delivery and storing them. Sell side, or downstream side, is what happens finished goods, eg storage, delivery to customers etc.
