Hello all,i have given my CB FMA for the 5 time 2 days ago,and my score for last 5 attempts have been 46,48,44,48 and last one again 48.im very very disappointed i have lost my confidence but im not about to let it go, i will again take CB in mid september and i hope i clear it this time and i hope i can make it to december attempt.
So i need some help, i have a strong grip on numericals, like variance, further variance, budgeting, under/over absorbed OHs, etc. after last attempt i feel like im weak in attempting theoretical mcqs, and maybe they were the reason behind my failure.so i need help and suggestions what should i do to clear this FMA this time and move forward?
I have completed bbp kit several times, i did the mocks of different colleges, teachers says there is no issue in my knowledge but yet i cant find myself over 50 score line ;-(
So help me in this matter.
ThankyouAugust 31, 2013 at 11:35 am #139381I can just advise you to pray to God. Have God’s faith and ask Him to make you pass. If you are clear with your knowledge, and have done the bpp kit several times then maybe your luck is bad. Pray harder and sincerely pray to God to make you pass. Also, over confidence maybe the reason or failing to read the question properly.

Najaf, sorry to hear about your difficulties. I’ve not done FMA myself but it strikes me that it is the same knowledge base as F2.
There is a BPP i-learn cd for F2 that gives 300 multi choice / fill in the gap questions which may help you as you can opt to do it under exam conditions where the questions are random and you are completing the exam under timed conditions.
I suspect that the reality is that its time pressure thats causing your fails rather than a lack of knowledge so if you keep doing mocks under timed conditions your on the day performance should improve.
Hope that this helps,
kindest regards,
Shaun.August 31, 2013 at 1:30 pm #139395Hello
I also gave my CBE and scored only 40. 🙁
I am planning mid September. I am not that good in variance.
Any tricks or easy way to understand????????
August 31, 2013 at 1:54 pm #139398The secret is always keep in mind what you are attempting to achieve with any calculation rather than purely rote learning of the variance calculations.
Not so much at FMA / F2 but later in your studies the examiners will throw curve balls into the scenarios to ensure that you understand what you are doing rather than merely regurgetating pro forma calculations so the sooner you achieve a level of understanding the easier it becomes.
I always find that understanding comes by studying at a level higher than the exams that I am taking. - AuthorPosts
